Julie R. Johnson earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English from Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated as valedictorian.  She then obtained a bachelor’s degree in civil law and her J.D. from Louisiana State University.   Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Johnson began her legal career as an associate at the Law Firm of Moody & Moody in Hammond, Louisiana.  She became a partner at the Law Firm of Moody & Johnson in 2008.   After a long and prosperous partnership, she opened the Law Office of Julie R. Johnson in October of 2012. The Law Office of Julie R. Johnson currently has locations in both Hammond and Covington.

Ms. Johnson has practiced in the areas of insurance defense and general litigation, but her current practice focuses on estate planning, with an emphasis on wills, trusts, special needs planning, and asset protection.  Ms. Johnson also received extensive training in Medicaid Practice Systems, which is a national organization dedicated to specialized training in asset protection planning and Medicaid qualification.  Ms. Johnson is also an active member in the legal community, and currently serves as vice-president of the 21st Judicial District Bar Association.  She is also a member of 22nd Judicial Bar Association and the Northshore Estate Planning Council.
